Join us as we celebrate inspirational women on April 10th! Grammy-Award winning composer Libby Larsen will be in the audience as we perform her Symphony No. 1 (“Water Music”). Also on the program is the powerful Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2 with the Italian pianist, Alessio Bax and his wife, Lucille Chung will join him to play Piazzolla’s Libertango duet.
Working in partnership with the Wisconsin Philharmonic and the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County, Libby will present her life journey and experiences as a music composer. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Elizabeth Brenner, Past President of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The panel will feature First Lady of Wisconsin, Tonette Walker; Deanna Tillisch, President & CEO of UPAF; and Libby Larsen. $25 admission includes a network event & concert ticket, appetizers, complimentary desserts from Sendiks and a chance to win door prizes provided by the Corners of Brookfield.
