The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) kicked off its 2016 campaign on Tuesday night with a goal to raise $12,600,000, which would be a new record. To help get the campaign off on a high note, UPAF brought in our own Ryan Jay to MC a program that featured the music of Oscar-winning Yip Harburg, lyricist of “Over the Rainbow.” Ryan also brought with him a friend to help launch the UPAF campaign, Yip’s great-grandson Aaron Harburg. Both join us on the yellow couch to talk about UPAF, and the “Wizard of Oz” project they are working on together.
