CBS58: 'Ride for the Arts' set to help fund Milwaukee arts organizations 🚲
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ana Cook, Director of Events and Communications for the United Performing Arts Fund, joined us on Wednesday, May 24 to preview the 43rd annual UPAF "Ride for the Arts."
The fundraiser is set for Sunday, June 4, and remains a tradition in Milwaukee. Proceeds are earmarked for 47 performing arts organizations supported by UPAF.
Riders will follow a course on the Hoan Bridge and Lincoln Memorial Drive, extending up to the Lake Park area. Participants can choose between distances of 7-20 miles, with a special 1.5-mile arts path through Lakeshore State Park for younger participants. The path aims to feature entertaining family-friendly performances.
The event concludes with a Finish Line Party at Henry Maier Festival Park Grounds. Performances by UPAF members and affiliates, as well as refreshments and free beer sampling from Miller Lite, are on the agenda.
