Jazz Meets Bach

​Experience the rhythmic language of dance beats and improvisational styles that glue three centuries of music together. This musical exploration of the many connections between Baroque music and Jazz includes a fusion of arrangements from Ward Swingle followed by J.S. Bach’s motet Jesu, meine Freude. The concert ends with a performance of Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, featuring soprano soloist Wendelin Lockett and pianist Michelle Hynson.
