UPAF Welcomes Three New Staff Members
MILWAUKEE (Jan. 11, 2018) – The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), announces three new additions to their organization; Maggie Griffiths has been hired as Development Coordinator, Katie Korek as Public Relations/Social Media Coordinator and Lisa Rulf as Database Accounting Associate.
“We are pleased to welcome Maggie, Katie and Lisa to our UPAF team to assist us in our work to promote and raise dollars for the performing arts in the Greater Milwaukee Area,” said Deanna Tillisch, UPAF president and CEO.
Griffith comes to UPAF after most recently working with the nonprofit organization Ecolibri in Guatemala, where she taught English to school students and ran the organization’s social media platforms. She is a graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media.
Korek joins UPAF after internship experiences with First Stage, the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and Bublr Bikes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Psychology from Marquette University.
Rulf comes to UPAF with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Marquette University and a diverse background that includes work with a children’s book distributor, community clinic and a company specializing in the sale of antique sterling and jewelry.
The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) has been setting the stage for over 50 years by providing critical investment in our region’s vibrant performing arts scene. UPAF’s mission is to secure community resources, promote the performing arts as a regional asset and improve the quality of life through responsible investment in and financial support of the performing arts in Southeastern Wisconsin. UPAF is proud to celebrate a half-century of making our community a better place to live, work and play. In 2017 UPAF’s 50th Anniversary Campaign raised more than $12.32 million to support the area’s performing arts environment. UPAF proudly bears Charity Navigator’s highest distinction for nonprofits – a four-star rating.
As an umbrella organization, UPAF supports a breadth of performing arts groups that collectively offer something for everyone through its 14 Member Groups and numerous Affiliates. More than one million people are touched each year through performances, educational outreach, special events and community partnerships.
