Theatre Gigante- Quorum

THEATRE GIGANTE tours Milwaukee in its 2016-2017 Season and presents Mark Anderson’s QUORUM
at Plymouth Church on Milwaukee’s East Side

October 7-15, 2016
THEATRE GIGANTE now in its 29th Season presents a little pre-election fun with QUORUM, a timely play examining human nature, democracy and the art of voting! Written by Gigante co-Artistic Director Mark Anderson 25 years ago, it has been lauded by the Journal Sentinel as “a wise and insightful comedy…a delight…a thoughtful and engaging piece.” It is a comical play: a social/political satire…amazingly apropos to today’s political scene.

The story: seven strangers meet in a room, and try to organize themselves into a group. Maybe they saw a notice tacked to a bulletin board somewhere, that there was a meeting being held, and so they came. Not sure what the meeting would be for, but they came, anyway. With the best intentions, they figure out that they need to organize themselves and that they need to vote on things, and thus the fun begins…
The seven strangers include: Anderson, Leslie Fitzwater, Ron Scot Fry, Bo Johnson, Isabelle Kralj, Jocelyn Ridgely, and Michael Stebbins.
Perfect for QUORUM – and as part of their “Gigante Tours Milwaukee” season, where Gigante is traveling to different venues thoughout the City – Kralj and Anderson have chosen Plymouth Church for this production.
