Jan. 20, 2015 – The polls are now closed and the winner in the  United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF)  35th Anniversary Ride for the Arts design contest was a biking-inspired take-off on the classic mask of comedy and tragedy graphic that was used as the Ride logo design in 2002. This year’s 35th Anniversary logo for the UPAF Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite, was selected through public online voting from among five past Ride logo designs.

The original 2002 UPAF Ride for the Arts logo was designed by the Milwaukee firm Versant.

This graphic will be used to promote the event on posters, tee shirts and on other promotional materials.

“Our contest provided the Ride enthusiasts with an opportunity to engage with UPAF and vote for their favorite design. For the 35th Anniversary Ride, we thought it would be great to go into our archives and give it a retro look,” said Deanna Tillisch, UPAF’s president and CEO.

Mark your calendars: UPAF will hold the 35th Anniversary UPAF Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite, on Sunday, June 5, 2016. The UPAF Ride for the Arts sponsored by Miller Lite is the organization’s largest fundraising event and one of the biggest one-day rides in the country.  UPAF’s 2015 Ride had more than 5,000 participants and helped UPAF raise $563,000 to support UPAF’s 15 Member performing arts groups.
