The UPAF Ride for the Arts, an annual bike ride that raises money for Milwaukee performing arts groups, will celebrate its 35th anniversary on Sunday.
Four routes will be offered: 25-, 45- and 70-mile rides, in which participants will bike across the Hoan Bridge, as well as a 10-mile family route. All riders start at the South Gate of the Summerfest grounds and finish with the Finish Line Party at the same place, where riders, friends and family can celebrate with free food and samples of Miller Coors products. In-person registration starts 15 minutes before the rides. Longer routes begin at 7 a.m., with riders on shorter routes leaving shortly thereafter.
Riders can participate by registering and raising pledges. Nonriders who are still interested may volunteer at the event. To register or for more information, visit UPAFRide.org.
