Annie Jump is a 13-year-old science genius whose alien-obsessed father is the laughingstock of Strawberry, KS. One night in August, during a meteor shower, Annie meets Althea, an intergalactic supercomputer that manifests itself in the form of a mean girl with really great hair. Althea’s here to help Annie take humanity from the earth to the stars, but being the “Chosen One” isn’t all glory. What is Althea hiding? And what will Annie have to sacrifice to fulfill her destiny? A play about finding your place in the universe, and intelligent life in your neighborhood. Written by 2017 Br!NK Resident Playwright, Reina Hardy, ANNIE JUMP AND THE LIBRARY OF HEAVEN will be the first fully produced Br!NK play to make a Renaissance Theaterworks mainstage debut.

by Bill Cain | Directed by David Cecsarini | April 4 – 28, 2019
Sometimes those we are closest to are the biggest mysteries of all. From the writer of EQUIVOCATION comes a very personal story taken from Cain’s experiences of caring for his ailing – but oh-so-feisty – mother. Through flashbacks, time jumps, quirky humor and poignant realism, we meet Dad, Mom, Brother and Bill – four smart, passionate people, acutely aware of their everlasting connection. Cain asks the questions that speak to the heart of every family: What will never change…and what has to…so we can love?
