Creating a team is easy! It’s a fantastic way to promote your company or organization and support UPAF at the same time. Team members can select any of the five routes and meet up afterwards at the Finish Line Party!

Team Types

Company: Manufacturers, retailers, professional firms, banks, restaurants, etc. Company team fees: $50

Community / Youth*: Clubs, churches, volunteer organizations, schools K-12, colleges and universities, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, athletic teams,etc.

UPAF*: Any current United Performing Arts Fund Member Groups or Affiliates

*There is no team fee for community, youth or UPAF teams.

Announcing “The Chris Kegel Award”

Chris Kegel and his team have been tireless advocates for community rides, including the UPAF Ride for the Arts. The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) is celebrating Kegel’s lifetime of work in promoting cycling by announcing the Chris Kegel Award. The award will be given each year to the UPAF Ride team that raises the most money in pledges.

 

Team FAQ

Q: When is the team registration deadline for this year?

A: The team registration deadline is Wednesday, May 3 for teams hoping to have customized team shirts.

Q: I want to start a team that qualifies for a waived team fee how do I do this?

A: No problem! Email Kyle Heller (kheller@upaf.org) our Events Specialist and he can help you get started.

Q: I already registered as an individual, can I join as a team member or start a team as team captain?

A: Absolutely! Just email Bernadette Watts (bwatts@upaf.org)our Ride for the Arts Loaned Executive and she will assist you in getting that process started.

Q: If we participated last year, do we need to resubmit our logo?

A: Yes, team logos must be submitted each year. To submit your team’s logo please send to kheller@upaf.org as an .eps, .tif, .ai, or .zip file.

Q: Do all team members have to ride the same route?

A: No, each rider can choose any of the five available bike routes. You can also register as a “Friend of the Ride” (non-rider).

Q: When will our t-shirts be ready for pickup?

A:We’ll begin mailing Rider Packets in April, while your Ride T-shirt will be available for pick-up at Summerfest’s lot A (at E. Summerfest Place & N. Lincoln Memorial, just outside of the South Gate Entrance) on:

Friday, June 2 – 11am – 6pm

Saturday, June 3 – 9am – 5pm

Sunday, June 4 – 6:30am – 3:30pm (Ride Day – redeem your T-shirt at the UPAF info booth)

Q: Do I have to pay team fees before picking up team materials?

A: Yes, all team fees, including corporate subsidies, must be paid in full prior to receiving your individual team materials. In order to pay your team fees, please call Senior Accountant, Allison Neumann at (414)239-6287 or mail a check to UPAF Ride for the Arts, 301 W. Wisconsin Ave., Suite 600, Milwaukee, WI 53203.
