The United Performing Arts Fund is hiring! We’re looking for talented individuals who are interested in a position as our Special Events Coordinator.
Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer
Direct Reports: Ride Loaned Executive
Date Available: September 2016
Responsible for the successful planning, implementation and coordination of fund-raising strategies and donor cultivation events for the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF). As the “project manager” for UPAF events, this highly-visible position works closely with staff, existing donors, volunteers and community leaders. The position coordinates and gathers the internal and external resources needed to execute a variety of year-round events that raise dollars and awareness for the organization.
Some of those events include:
Two to five years of experience in successful special event planning and implementation or proven project management experiences in related areas.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Philanthropic Studies, or Business is preferred.
Ability to effectively organize, work and motivate staff, volunteers, donors/sponsors to execute successful and memorable events. Strong organization, creative, and planning skills and an ability to communicate effectively through written and oral means. This person is required to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A working knowledge of appropriate computer programs is also required.
