United Performing Arts Fund Hires Public Relations Coordinator/Promotes Two Others

MILWAUKEE (Nov. 2, 2015) – The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), the largest united fund in the country supporting the Milwaukee-area performing arts, has hired Katie Joachim as its new public relations and social media coordinator.

“We are thrilled to have Katie join the UPAF team,” said Deanna Tillisch, UPAF president & CEO. “Katie’s background and enthusiasm for the arts will help strengthen our messages and bring more awareness about the quality and importance the performing arts plays in our region.”

In her new position, Joachim is responsible for creating and implementing a social media strategy to better connect UPAF with the Greater Milwaukee area and work to secure earned media in support of the organization’s mission.  Prior to UPAF, Joachim worked in documentary film production for three and a half years as a production assistant, head of social media, chief researcher and a proposal writer at The Duncan Group, a production company in Milwaukee. Joachim, a Whitefish Bay native, holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity College of Connecticut.

In addition, to Joachim’s hiring, UPAF announces the promotion of Isabelle Koenig to Donor & Community Relations Specialist and Melissa Feldmeyer to Development Specialist.
