Next Act Theatre will heat things up this winter with something different. EQUIVOCATION by Bill Cain visits William Shakespeare as he wrestles with creation, coercion and the challenges of producing good theatre in the turbulent England of King James the First. It will run February 1 – 25, 2018 at Next Act’s home, 255 South Water Street, in Walker’s Point.
“Cain has done a remarkable job of bringing the spectator into Shakespeare’s world, as if we’re a fly on the Globe’s wall. The language (when not Shakespeare’s lines) is smooth and rather contemporary, very direct and precise for the mind and ear,” says Producing Artistic Director David Cecsarini.
Opening night is Friday, February 2. Tickets range from $28 – $38 and may be purchased by calling 414-278-0765 or visiting www.nextact.org.
