Prelude Recital –
with Pallavi Mahidhara
Friday, June 3, 7:30 p.m.

During her American tour in June, Pallavi Mahidhara, a winner in the 2008 PianoArts competition, returns to Milwaukee to set the stage for the 2016 competition. Program $25 Adults $15 Students

Solo Recitals –Semifinal Round
Saturday, June 4, 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Ten competition semifinalists selected as PianoArtists perform 45-minute recitals and explore music from the Baroque to the present day for audiences and the international jury. $15 All-day pass

Master Classes –by members of the Jury
Sunday, June 5, 10:30 a.m.; 11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.

Pianists, selected through audition, perform solos for comments in three one-hour sessions presented by distinguished pedagogues and members of the jury: Joseph Kalichstein, Ursula Oppens, and Peter Takács. $15 All-day pass

Ensemble Recitals –Semifinal Round
Monday, June 6, 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra musicians and pianists Kirstin Ihde and Stefanie Jacob join ten PianoArtists to perform 45-minute collaborative programs. Following the recitals, the jury will advance three PianoArtists to the finals to perform with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. $15 All-day pass

Concert by the Masters
Tuesday, June 7, 7:30 p.m.

A once-in-a-lifetime concert, all three of our distinguished Jury members – Joseph Kalichstein, Ursula Oppens, and Peter Takács – will perform a chamber concert with MSO titled musicians – Clarinetist Benjamin Adler, Cellist Susan Babini, Violinist Ilana Setapen, and Cellist Scott Tisdel.
Program $25 Adults, $15 Students

Final Round & Awards Ceremony
Wednesday, June 8, 7:30 p.m.

The grand finale of the competition and festival hosted by WTMJ-TV News Anchor Carole Meekins – three finalists perform with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra under the baton of PianoArts Music Director Andrews Sill. Join us for the excitement when the international jury awards prizes, a scholarship, and PianoArts Fellowships to the 2016 PianoArtists – the beginning of significant music careers. $30 Adults, $15 Students
