Whether it's curly, fuzzy, nappy, shaggy, wavy or braided, HAIR is the glorious granddaddy of rock musicals. Full of some of the greatest tunes ever written for the stage, HAIR will take us back to the Summer of Love with its high-spirited anthems against war, bigotry, and the establishment. Local song, dance and comedy icon Ray Jivoff joins us for his Playhouse directorial debut on HAIR! Expect big surprises from this kinetic performer/director!

This year’s collaborations include: Choreographer Lauren Hafner Addison and Design Engineer Elizabeth Alstad; Choreographer Mary-Elizabeth Fenn and Graphic Designer Brett Stenson; Choreographer Julianna LaRosa, Puppeteer Kurt Hartwig and Graphic Designer Jordan Melrood; Choreographer Hannah Marquardt, Vocalist Susan Wiedmeyer and Pianist Jennifer Van Brunt; Choreographers Jessie Mae Scibek and Molly Mingey and Costume Designer Kasia Drake-Hames; Choreographers Karen Zakrzewski and Katie Rhyme and Musician/Composer Kyle Feerick.

4 Comedies Of Seduction: These comedies explore love and seduction with wit and affection. John Patrick Shanley’s tender play THE RED COAT showcases a teenage crush while Elaine Jarvik’s tart marital portrait DEAD RIGHT humorously dramatizes long-married love. David Ives’ romp SURE THING reinvents the “pick-up” while Harold Pinter’s droll satire THE LOVER indicts marriage altogether. With Hugh Blewett, Ken Dillon, Mark Ninneman, Keigan Vannoy, Barbara Weber, Ericka Wade, Brooke Wegner and Jason Will. July 28-August 29, 2010 (5 weeks).
