Development Coordinator

President & CEO, Chief Development Officer, Development Directors, Campaign Cabinet, Campaign Co-Chairs, and Loaned Executives

Position Purpose

Coordinate development activities and programs in support of the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) annual campaign. Provide performers for companies and organizations hosting Workplace Giving (employee) fundraising campaigns. Facilitate training of “Loaned Executives” – individuals that work with companies and organizations on developing activities to motivate employees to give to UPAF through the workplace. Coordinate UPAF Affiliate Program, which provides grants to smaller performing arts organizations through an annual application process.



Performer/Speaker Program
  1. Develop and prepare Performer/Speaker Program action plan, including goals, objectives and measurable tactics related to:
    • Securing appropriate and requested performers or speakers for companies and organizations, executing confirmations with all parties, tracking and reporting credit
    • Developing and distributing Member Group and Affiliate communications
    • Securing subscriptions/single tickets, campaign incentives and costumes/props from Member Groups
    • Assessing the ROI of Workplace Giving activities


  1. Serve as primary contact for Member Group and Affiliate activities, including but not limited to:
    • Performer Speaker allocation/reporting
    • Incentives/vouchers & voucher fulfillment
    • Prop Shop updates with Marketing


  1. Implement procedural guidelines for performer/speaker event scheduling
  2. Compile and distribute Member Group campaign support credit and debit reports on weekly basis during 15-week annual campaign


Loaned Executives

  1. Facilitate training of Loaned Executives
  2. Serve as primary resource for Loaned Executives


Workplace Giving

  1. Manage one Workplace Giving division, which includes developing campaign strategy by account, setting goals, managing projections and trouble shooting
  2. Organize and manage campaign materials and incentives
  3. Assist with recruiting Workplace Giving Ambassadors that oversee their employee campaigns
  4. Serve as primary contact for email inquiries


Affiliate Program

  1. Serve as the primary contact for the organizations interested in applying for annual grant support through the UPAF Affiliate Program
  2. Oversee the Grant application process communicating the application and grant details with all interested organizations
  3. Serve as the administrative contact for the Affiliate Grant Review Panel, tracking scores and providing information relative to the organizations applying for support


Development Team

  1. Participate in annual campaign planning, including identifying new approaches to raise money
  2. Attend events representing UPAF




Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Writing, Marketing, Journalism, or other similar background preferred.
Job- related experience: A minimum of three years of direct nonprofit and/or for-profit organization experience.  Candidate must have strong written, verbal and creative skills. The ability to network and develop strong relationships throughout the community is a must.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience with full benefits inclusive of health insurance, life and long-term disability insurance, savings retirement plan
